Manchester United target Declan Rice has insisted he has not been made aware of any transfer speculation during his time with the England squad this summer.
Rice has been linked with a move to Chelsea and Manchester United over the past few months after another impressive season with the Hammers have made him one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League.
It is believed that both Chelsea and United are ready to meet that £80 million asking price this summer and get a transfer deal done, but they must both wait until after the European Championships have finished for England
But amid the speculation, The 22-year-old midfielder spoke about other players – as well as himself – being involved in transfer speculation and added that those potential deals can be sorted once the tournament has reached its conclusion next month.
Jadon Sancho is reportedly close to joining Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund, while Tottenham striker Harry Kane is attracting interest from Premier League champions Manchester City.
“I’m not lying, I’ve not seen a thing. As players it would be disrespectful to speak about it around other players,” Rice said.
“There is speculation about players going but the main focus at the moment is your country, trying to win this tournament.
“If players want to move on, that can be dealt with after the tournament.
“While we’re here, like Gareth has always said, you need to be strictly focused on what is happening here with England and whatever happens with the club takes care of itself after the tournament.”
There is some big rumours this summer and it will be interesting to see if clubs do pay that £80 million to get Declan Rice all signed up, or he will be staying at the Hammers for the next few seasons
