American Brandon Walters (208-F-95) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league’s second-best Peja and that’s him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 25-year old forward had a double-double of 21 points and sixteen rebounds, while his team outclassed Prishtina (#7, 4-11) with 27-point margin 101-74. Peja is placed at 2nd position in Kosovan Superliga. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Peja will need more victories to improve their 10-5 record. Walters turned to be Peja’s top player in his first season with the team. Brandon Walters averages just after three games 21.0ppg and 14.3rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was 29-year old former international forward Drilon Hajrizi (203-F-91) of Trepca/AS. Hajrizi impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Trepca/AS to edge the higher-ranked Bashkimi (#5, 8-7) by 6 points 97-91. Despite this victory they still are dead at the bottom. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Trepca/AS managed to get this year. Hajrizi is one of the most experienced players at Trepca/AS and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.0ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 14.0rpg and 5.0apg.
The third best performed player last round was Albanian Endrit Hysenagolli (208-C-88) of Bashkimi (#5). Hysenagolli showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, seventeen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Hysenagolli’s great performance Bashkimi lost 91-97 to the lower-ranked Trepca/AS (#8, 3-12). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Bashkimi needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 8 victories and 7 lost games. Hysenagolli has a very solid season. In 4 games in Kosovo he scored 14.3ppg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
