The most important game in the last round took place in Lublin between second ranked Start (13-6) and fifth ranked BM Slam Stal (13-7) on Saturday night. Start was crushed by BM Slam Stal at home 62-82. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Start. BM Slam Stal made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. American guard Christopher Smith (193-94, college: Utah St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Jakub Garbacz (197-94) contributed with 27 points for the winners. Latvian Martins Laksa (200-90) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds for Start. BM Slam Stal have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 13-7 record. Start at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost. They share the position with Slask and Legia. BM Slam Stal are looking forward to face Trefl (#6) in Sopot in the next round. Start will have a break next round.
An interesting game for Zastal Enea BC (17-2) which played road game in Warszawa against second-ranked Legia (13-6). First ranked Zastal Enea BC managed to get a 7-point victory 85-78. Worth to mention a great performance of Danish guard Iffe Lundberg (193-94) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and Rolands Freimanis who added 21 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. American point guard Lester Medford-Jr (179-93, college: Baylor) responded with 16 points and 7 assists. Zastal Enea BC have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-2 record. Legia at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost. They share the position with Slask and Start. Zastal Enea BC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Legia will play on the road against Spojnia in Stargard and hopes to get back on the winning track.
EBL top team – Zastal Enea BC (17-2) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat ninth ranked GTK (8-11) in Gliwice 92-86. The winners were led by Geoffrey Groselle who scored that evening 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 22 points and 5 rebounds by Jordon Varnado did not help to save the game for GTK. Zastal Enea BC have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-2 record. Loser GTK dropped to the tenth place with 11 games lost. Zastal Enea BC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. GTK will play against Asseco Arka (#14) and hope to secure a win.
The game in Szczecin supposed to be also worth to mention about. 7th ranked Spojnia (9-10) played at the court of eighth ranked Wilki Morskie (10-10). Wilki Morskie smashed Spojnia 105-80. The best player for the winners was Tookie Brown who scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Spojnia’s coach Jacek Winnicki gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Wilki Morskie moved-up to seventh place. Spojnia at the other side dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Wilki Morskie’s next round opponent will be Anwil (#12) in Wloclawek where they are favorite. Spojnia will play at home against Legia (#4) and hope to win that game.

MKS DG will have a break next round. Enea Astoria will play at home against Twarde Pierniki (#9) and hope to win that game.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 20: Slask smashed Asseco Arka on the road 102-63. Bottom-ranked Polpharma was destroyed by Trefl on its own court 92-117. HydroTruck unfortunately lost to Polski Cukier in Torun 67-81. Trefl managed to beat Anwil at home 96-83.
The most impressive performance of 20th round was 24 points and 4 assists by Karol Gruszecki of Trefl.

King – Spojnia 105-80

The game in Szczecin supposed to be also worth to mention about. 7th ranked Spojnia (9-10) played at the court of eighth ranked Wilki Morskie (10-10). Wilki Morskie smashed Spojnia 105-80. They outrebounded Spojnia 42-29 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Wilki Morskie players were unselfish on offense dishing 36 assists comparing to just 23 passes made by Spojnia’s players. The best player for the winners was American point guard Tookie Brown (180-95, college: Georgia South) who scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Mateusz Bartosz (205-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Tomasz Snieg (190-89) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists and the former international Mateusz Kostrzewski (200-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Spojnia’s coach Jacek Winnicki gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Wilki Morskie moved-up to seventh place. Spojnia at the other side dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Kosynierzy dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Asseco Arka’s 34. Kosynierzy forced 20 Asseco Arka turnovers. Serbian point guard Strahinja Jovanovic (185-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 7 assists. American guard Elijah Stewart (196-95, college: USC) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Kosynierzy players scored in double figures. International center Adam Hrycaniuk (206-84, college: Cincinnati) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Filip Dylewicz (202-80) added 15 points in the effort for Asseco Arka. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kosynierzy have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Legia and Start. Asseco Arka lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with 13 games lost.
