Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Gargzdu (6-1) in Gargzdai on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Suduva-Mantinga (8-1) 64-52. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Gargzdu. Suduva-Mantinga forced 22 Gargzdu turnovers. Point guard Tomas Galeckas (183-94) scored 15 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Zygimantas Simonis (194-95) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Suduva-Mantinga’s coach Povilas Sakinis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Modestas Kumpys (194-91) responded with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Suduva-Mantinga maintains first position with 8-1 record. Gargzdu at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They share the position with Jonava. Suduva-Mantinga are looking forward to face Telsiai (#6) in Telsiu in the next round where they are favorite. Gargzdu will play at home against Silute and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
Important game to mention about took place in Moletai. Tenth ranked Neptunas-Akv. (3-4) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 14th ranked Ezerunas (1-8) 77-76 on Saturday evening. Dovydas Romancenko (206-98) notched 26 points to lead the effort and Lukas Kreismontas supported him with 15 points. Neptunas-Akv.’s coach Simonas Serapinas allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 23 points and 9 rebounds by center Ignas Juskevicius (201-91) did not help to save the game for Ezerunas. Neptunas-Akv. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Vilkaviskis. Ezerunas lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with eight games lost. Neptunas-Akv. will play against Silales Lusis (#13) in Rietavas in the next round where they are favorite. Ezerunas will play on the road against Jonava to get more than just one victory in their record.
Fifth ranked Zalgiris II (7-3) crushed at home 9th ranked Delikatesas (2-5) by 59 points 111-52, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The best player for the winners was Giedrius Bergaudas who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Zalgiris II’s coach Arvydas Gronskis felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sarunas Kulevicius produced 20 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Zalgiris II moved-up to second place. Loser Delikatesas dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Vilnius. Zalgiris II will meet at home bottom-ranked Mazeikiai (#15) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Delikatesas will have a break next round.

Zalgiris II – Delikatesas 111-52

Fifth ranked Zalgiris II (7-3) crushed at home 9th ranked Delikatesas (2-5) by 59 points 111-52, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. Zalgiris II dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Delikatesas’ 26. Zalgiris II forced 24 Delikatesas turnovers and outrebounded them 47-35 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Delikatesas’ players. The best player for the winners was center Giedrius Bergaudas (212-0) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Dominykas Stenionis (178-2) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Zalgiris II players scored in double figures. Zalgiris II’s coach Arvydas Gronskis felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Sarunas Kulevicius (194-89) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and Arminas Kleisys (204-99) added 16 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Zalgiris II moved-up to second place.
