Newly promoted Hapoel B-Cure Laser Haifa (Winner League) landed experienced 35year old jewish point guard Taylor Rochestie (186-88kg-85, college: WSU). Rochestie already started the season at Crvena Zvezda in Serbian KLS league, but left the team in Dec.’20. In 9 games he averaged 3.9ppg and 2.0apg this season. Rochestie also played 7 games in ABA League where he had 7.4ppg, 1.3rpg and 3.6apg. The last season Rochestie played at Olympiacos in Greek league. In 21 Euroleague games he recorded 4.6ppg, 1.0rpg and 3.6apg.
Rochestie also represented Montenegro at the Qualifications to European Championships 2015 six years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 11.0ppg, 1.5rpg, 4.3apg, FGP: 59.5%, 3PT: 21.1%.
Rochestie is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eight different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. Rochestie has played previously professionally in China (Pioneers, Sturgeons and Anhui Wenyi), France (Le Mans), Germany (ALBA Berlin and BG Goettingen), Italy, Russia (BC Nizhny Novgorod and Lokomotiv), Spain, Turkey (Galatasaray) and Israel (Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv).
He attended Washington State University until 2009 and it is his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Let’s have closer look into Rochestie’s outlook:
A “first look for the pass” kind of player who improved his playing experience on the European courts. Now, he s a classic PG, with great leadership and court vision, who can easily score, if needed.
