Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Lithuanians who are currently playing abroad.
   #1. This week’s number one is an international power forward Donatas Motiejunas (213-90, currently plays in China). He led Flying Tigers to a victory over the league outsider Pioneers (2-17) 121-112 in the Chinese CBA in Sunday night’s game.
Motiejunas was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 35 points and getting 28 rebounds. Motiejunas also added 8 assists in 43 minutes on the court.
Xinjiang Flying Tigers (13-6) are placed fourth in the CBA.
It was his team’s fourth consecutive victory in a row.
It’s Motiejunas’ first season with the team.
He has individually a very good year with high stats. Motiejunas averages: 24.3ppg, 15.4rpg, 4.0apg, 1.6bpg, 2.1spg, 2FGP: 58.7%(64-109) and FT: 42.1% in seven games he played so far.
He is currently a member of the Lithuanian senior national team.
   #2. Second place goes to former international center Arturas Gudaitis (211-93, currently plays in VTB United League). Gudaitis could not help Zenit (7-1) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance the league leader Zenit was defeated 96-81 on the road by the lower-ranked Lokomotiv (#3).
Gudaitis was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 9 rebounds.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
Gudaitis has relatively good stats this year: 12.2ppg, 5.4rpg, 2FGP: 57.7%(15-26) and FT: 83.8%.
He played for the Lithuanian national team in 2018.

   #3. The Lithuanian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international forward Jonas Maciulis (198-85, currently plays in Greece). Maciulis was the main contributor in AEK‘s victory against the closely-ranked Iraklis (4-3) 79-72 in the Greek A1 on Saturday night.
He was the best player in that game. Maciulis recorded 18 points in 25 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. AEK Athens (6-0) is placed first in the A1.
So far his team won all six games in the Regular Season.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
This year Maciulis has relatively solid stats: 12.6ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 44.4%, 3FGP: 58.3%(14-24) and FT: 55.6% in five games.
Ex-KK Baltai Kaunas player is also a member of the Lithuanian senior national team.
   #4. Forward Eimantas Bendzius (207-90, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) was not able to help Sassari (3-1) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the first-placed Sassari (3-1) was badly defeated 91-71 at home by the lower-ranked Bakken (#4) in the group A of Basketball Champions League.
Bendzius was the top scorer with 17 points. He also added 6 rebounds (made all of his six free throws).
There are only two games left until the end of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Bendzius has reliable stats this season: 13.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.3apg and 1.3spg.
He is also Lithuanian national team player.

   #5. International forward Mindaugas Kuzminskas (205-89, currently plays in VTB United League) faced previously mentioned Arturas Gudaitis in the VTB United League last game.
Kuzminskas was the major contributor in Lokomotiv‘s victory against the league leader Zenit (7-1) 96-81.
He scored 20 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 26 minutes.
Kuzminskas’ stats this year are: 13.0ppg, 4.4rpg and 2.3apg in nine games.
He plays currently for the Lithuanian national team.

   #6. Guard Mantas Kalnietis (195-86, agency: Players Group, currently plays in EuroCup) is a teammate of previously mentioned Mindaugas Kuzminskas. But that was another game of his team in Eurocup which we would like to mention.
Kalnietis contributed to Lokomotiv‘s victory against the closely-ranked Monaco (4-4) 76-72.
He recorded 14 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
Lokomotiv Kuban (8-2) is placed second in group C.
It was his team’s third consecutive victory in a row.
Kalnietis’ overall stats this season are: 7.3ppg, 2.9rpg and 8.4apg.
He is an international player who is currently on the senior Lithuanian National Team roster.

   #7. International forward Rokas Giedraitis (200-92, currently plays in Spain) contributed to Baskonia‘s victory against the league outsider Real Betis (2-11) 77-73 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Saturday.
He scored 11 points and had 3 steals.
TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz (10-4) is placed fourth in the Liga Endesa.
Giedraitis averaged so far 13.0ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.4apg.
He used to play for the Lithuanian national team
last year.

   #8. Guard Tomas Dimsa (196-96, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (4-9) 87-71 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night.
Dimsa scored 15 points in 32 minutes.
Herbalife Gran Canariais placed eighth in the Liga Endesa.
This year Dimsa’s overall stats are: 8.5ppg, 2.2rpg and 1.4apg in 10 games.
He plays currently for the Lithuanian national team.

   #9. Former University international forward Mindaugas Kacinas (204-93, college: S.Carolina, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a Leche Rio Breogan‘s victory against the ninth-ranked Palencia (1-5) 76-65 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Sunday night’s game.
Kacinas recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 10 rebounds.
Leche Rio Breogan (5-1) is placed first in Group A.
It was his team’s third consecutive victory in a row.
Kacinas’ total stats this season are: 8.3ppg and 6.0rpg.
He used to play for the Lithuanian university national team
three years ago.

   #10. Center Evaldas Kairys (207-90, currently plays in Turkey) helped Afyon Bld win their game against the second-ranked Galatasaray (11-1) 97-80 in the Turkish BSL last Saturday.
Kairys scored 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 21 minutes.
HDI Sigorta Afyon Belediyespor (6-6) is placed sixth in the BSL.
There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
This year Kairys’ total stats are: 7.1ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.6apg in seven games.
He is an international player who is currently on the senior Lithuanian National Team roster.

   #11. International forward Edgaras Ulanovas (199-92, currently plays in Euroleague) was not able to secure a victory for Fenerbahce in their game against ALBA Berlin in the Euroleague.
Ulanovas recorded 6 points.
His team was crushed by 26 points 89-63.
Ulanovas has averaged so far 4.7ppg, 1.7rpg and 1.5apg.
He used to play for the Lithuanian national team
last year.

   #12. Former U18 international center Aurimas Majauskas (202-93, agency: Octagon Europe, college: SHSU, currently plays in Ukraine) helped Zaporizhye win their game against the closely-ranked Odessa 83-73 in the Ukrainian Superleague in Thursday night’s game.
Majauskas scored 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 27 minutes.
Majauskas averaged so far 12.2ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.3apg in nine games.
He used to play for the Lithuanian U18 national team
back in 2011.

   #13. International center Laurynas Birutis (213-97, currently plays in Spain) couldn’t help Blusens Monbus (5-8) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Birutis’ good performance Blusens Monbus was edged 78-75 in Barcelona by the much higher-ranked FC Barcelona (#3).
He was the second best scorer with 12 points. Birutis also added 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists.
Birutis averaged so far 14.2ppg and 6.1rpg.
He is also Lithuanian national team player.

   #14. International power forward Regimantas Miniotas (208-96, currently plays in Spain) couldn’t help Bilbao (2-11) in their last game. Despite Miniotas’ good performance Bilbao was crushed 105-76 on the opponent’s court by the higher-ranked (#11) Zaragoza.
He was the second best scorer with 12 points. Miniotas also added 9 rebounds in 21 minutes.
Miniotas has averaged so far 8.7ppg and 6.0rpg in three games.
He plays currently for the Lithuanian national team.

   #15. Former international shooting guard Deividas Dulkys (195-88, college: FSU, currently plays in Spain) helped La ICL Manresa win their game against the fifth-ranked Joventut 85-80 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Saturday night’s game.
Dulkys scored 10 points.
Dulkys has averaged so far 5.0ppg and 1.5rpg.
He used to play for the Lithuanian national team
three years ago.

The list of other players, who all have Lithuanian passport but never been selected to any of Lithuanian national teams:

   #1. John Shurna (204-PF-90, college: Northwestern, currently plays in EuroCup) led his Spanish team Gran Canaria to a victory against the third-ranked Trento (6-4) 67-56 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night’s game.
Shurna recorded 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in 34 minutes.
Herbalife Gran Canaria (8-2) is placed first in group D.
It was his team’s fourth consecutive victory in a row.
The Regular Season already ended in the Eurocup.
Shurna averaged so far 10.2ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.2spg in 10 games he played so far.
He is a naturalized American.
Despite Shurna’s Lithuanian passport, he previously played for the USA U19 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Lithuanian team.
Strangely Shurna has never played in Lithuania.

   #2. Experienced Arturas Valeika (207-F-85, college: Weber St., currently plays in Romania) contributed to Oradea‘s victory against the third-ranked Timisoara (2-1) 75-68 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Sunday night.
Valeika scored 8 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 26 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group B. CSM CSU Oradea (3-0) is placed first.
So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season.
The Regular Season already ended.
Valeika has been at the team for four years.
He has averaged so far 4.7ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.3spg in three games.

   #3. Donatas Sabeckis (197-PG-92, currently plays in Switzerland) contributed to an easy victory against one of league’s weakest teams Starwings (2-7) 73-57 in the Swiss SBL on Wednesday night.
Sabeckis scored 7 points, made 6 passes and 3 steals.
Lions de Geneve (7-1) is placed second in the SBL.
Sabeckis has averaged so far 8.3ppg, 3.6rpg, 3.6apg and 1.6spg.

   #4. Robertas Grabauskas (208-C-90, college: Northwood, currently plays in Portugal) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Vitoria SC (5-4) 85-66 in the Portuguese LPB in Sunday night’s game.
He recorded 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
CAB Madeira (3-2) is placed seventh in the LPB.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
Grabauskas averaged so far 10.1ppg and 5.1rpg.

   #5. Henrikas Vorotnikovas (203-F-90, currently plays in France) contributed to a Orchesien BC‘s surprising victory against the leader Saint Vallier (4-1) 79-72 in the French NM1 (third division) in Wednesday night’s game.
He scored 13 points.
BC Orchies (2-2) is placed ninth in Group B.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
Vorotnikovas averaged so far 10.5ppg and 4.0rpg.

   #6. Kasparas Berenis (195-SF-99, currently plays in Spain). He could not help Tarragona ADT to beat Igualada.
Berenis scored 8 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 29 minutes.
His team was crushed by 24 points 83-59.
Berenis has averaged so far 9.0ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.7apg in three games.

   #7. Gediminas Mokseckas (193-G-0, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to help the one of league’s weakest teams Campbell in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his good performance the Campbell was defeated 66-56 at home by the Elon University.
Mokseckas recorded 10 points.
Mokseckas has averaged so far 9.0ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.2apg.

   #8. Deividas Mockaitis (213-C-96, college: Antelope Valley, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Pas Pielagos in their game against Bezana in the Spanish EBA (fourth division), despite his very good performance in Saturday night’s game.
He was the second best scorer with 13 points. Mockaitis also added 8 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 24 minutes.
But his team lost 72-82.
Mockaitis has averaged so far 7.3ppg and 4.5rpg in four games.

   #9. Paulius Grebliunas (203-PF-93, currently plays in Norway) managed to help Asker Aliens BC in a victory against the closely-ranked Ammerud Bskt 76-59 in the Norwegian BLNO on Thursday night.
He scored only 4 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 30 minutes.
Grebliunas has averaged so far 2.3ppg and 2.9rpg in 12 games.

   #10. Benius Urbonavicius (200-PF-97, currently plays in Austria) couldn’t help Lions in their game against Furstenfeld Panthers in the Austrian 2.Bundesliga (second division). Despite his very good performance in Saturday night’s game He scored 19 points, had 8 boards, dished 3 assists and stole 3 balls.
Urbonavicius has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 18.2ppg, 11.0rpg, 2.6apg and 1.2spg.
