The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games, games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Borac’s fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Kakanj (2-5) 92-81 on Monday. Borac looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian forward Nikola Tanaskovic (205-97, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American swingman Tavarius Shine (198-94, college: OK State) contributed with 12 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Montenegrin forward Nemanja Gavranic (203-93) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds for Kakanj. Kakanj’s coach Benjamin Sabic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. Borac (1-4) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with Bratunac. It was Kakanj’s fourth loss in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Borac is again looking forward to face higher ranked Kakanj (#10) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kakanj will have a break next round.
The game in Tuzla was also worth to mention about. Leader Zrinjski HT (4-0) played at the court of 5th ranked Sloboda T. (3-3). Zrinjski HT managed to secure a 7-point victory 108-101. It was a great evening for American guard Carlbe Ervin-II (190-95, college: Kansas St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Sreten Knezevic helped adding 18 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Zrinjski HT’s coach Neven Nikolic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side the former international power forward Ibrahim Durmo (199-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 20 rebounds. Zrinjski HT have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 4-0 record behind leader Spars. Sloboda T. at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Promo. Zrinjski HT will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sloboda T. will play again at home against Zrinjski HT (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Zenica between Celik and Bratunac. Fourth ranked Celik (4-3) got a very close home victory over 12th ranked Bratunac (1-4). Celik managed to escape with a 3-point win 83-80 on Saturday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was an exceptional evening for Milivoje Bozovic who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds. Aleksandar Danilovic came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds for Bratunac in the defeat. Celik have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Celik maintains fourth place with 4-3 record. Loser Bratunac keeps the twelfth position with four games lost. They share it with Borac. Celik will again meet at home Bratunac (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bratunac will have a break next round.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Celik (4-3) and Capljina (2-3), which took place in Capljina. 4th placed Celik lost to tenth ranked Capljina in a road game 75-80. Celik’s coach Josip Pandza tested ten players, but that didn’t help to avoid defeat in this game. Capljina moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bosna-Royal and Leotar. Newly promoted Celik keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Capljina’s next round opponent will be league’s leader Spars in Sarajevo and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Celik will play at home against Bratunac and hope to win that game.
The game between 11th ranked Bosna-Royal (2-3) and fourth ranked Celik (4-3) in Sarajevo on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Zenica beat Bosna-Royal 78-66. Newly promoted Celik maintains fourth place with 4-3 record. Bosna-Royal lost third consecutive game. Bosna-Royal at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Celik will face Bratunac (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bosna-Royal will play against Leotar (#9) in Trebinje and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games in round 7 were not that significant. Leotar beat Kakanj on the road 92-83. Leotar lost to Bosna-Royal on its own court 80-86. Mladost unfortunately lost to Siroki in Siroki Brijeg 74-86.

Bosna-Royal – Celik 66-78

The game between 11th ranked Bosna-Royal (2-3) and fourth ranked Celik (4-3) in Sarajevo on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Zenica beat Bosna-Royal 78-66. It was a very good performance for Serbian power forward Milivoje Bozovic (210-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 20 rebounds. Guard Ermin Dedic (188-94) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Serbian point guard Luka Igrutinovic (193-92, agency: Mansfield and Associates) answered with 22 points and Serbian guard Aleksandar Sokolovic (193-93) added 11 points and 5 assists in the effort for Bosna-Royal. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Celik have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Celik maintains fourth place with 4-3 record. Bosna-Royal lost third consecutive game. Bosna-Royal at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Celik (4-3) and Capljina (2-3), which took place in Capljina. 4th placed Celik lost to tenth ranked Capljina in a road game 75-80. No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Leotar (2-3) beat on the road 9th ranked Kakanj (2-5) 92-83 on Sunday. The game without a history. Leotar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Quite impressive performance for the former international forward Bozo Djurasovic (201-87) who helped to win the game recording 26 points. Marko Raicevic (185-95) contributed with 15 points and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Aldin Muflizovic (200-92) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Jackson Dubinski (185-96, college: Columbia, MO) added 13 points and 6 assists in the effort for Kakanj. Five Leotar and four Kakanj players scored in double figures. Leotar maintains seventh place with 2-3 record, which they share with Bosna-Royal and Capljina. Kakanj lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Leotar will face Bosna-Royal (#7) in Sarajevo in the next round. Kakanj will play on the road against Borac in Banja Luka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Bratunac was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 26-22 charge of Celik, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian power forward Milivoje Bozovic (210-85) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds. The former international forward Haris Delalic (203-94) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Four Celik players scored in double figures. Canadian-Serbian forward Aleksandar Danilovic (202-93) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian forward Milos Pesic (206-84, agency: 011 Sports) added 16 points respectively for Bratunac in the defeat. There was a minor upset when higher ranked Leotar (2-3) lost to eleventh ranked Bosna-Royal (2-3) in Trebinje 80-86 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Bosna-Royal made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Leotar was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for forward Dejan Jeftic (200-89) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 6 rebounds. The former international guard Muhamed Pasalic (192-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) contributed with 16 points and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Center Djordje Ninkovic (210-91) answered with 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and guard Stefan Mijovic (197-95, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Leotar. Four Bosna-Royal and five Leotar players scored in double figures. Leotar’s coach Miro Vukoje let to play ten players, but that didn’t help to avoid defeat in this game. Siroki – Mladost 86-74

Very predictable result when third ranked Siroki (5-1) won against 10th ranked Mladost (1-3) in Siroki Brijeg 86-74 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Siroki. Mladost was better in second period 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Siroki looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists. Mladost was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American point guard Rashun Davis (182-93, college: Radford) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his eleven free throws !!!). Forward Dario Dreznjak (203-98) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Siroki’s coach Damir Vujanovic used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Russian guard Pavel Lobarev (191-97, agency: Alti Sport) answered with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Serbian swingman Jovan Djordjevic (198-93) added 20 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) in the effort for Mladost. Five Siroki and four Mladost players scored in double figures. Siroki moved-up to second place. Mladost lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. Siroki will face again Mladost (#11) in Mrkonjic Grad in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
