Samara – Runa Basket 91-73

Samara cruised past Runa Basket in the decider to pave their way into Finals. Samara outrebounded Runa Basket 38-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. 27 personal fouls committed by Runa Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Nigerian-American guard Ike Nwamu (196-93, college: UNLV) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. Latvian power forward Artjoms Butjankovs (204-91) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Samara players scored in double figures. Guard Fedor Klyuchnikov (193-90) answered with 21 points and 6 assists and swingman Mikhail Karpachev (198-92) added 19 points in the effort for Runa Basket. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Uralmash – TSU 95-77

Uralmash held off TSU in Game 5 to secure the championship series berth. Uralmash shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. TSU was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Justin Roberson (187-93, college: ULM) stepped up and scored 24 points for the winners and his fellow American import forward Javonte Douglas (203-92, college: Montevallo) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. The former international forward Denis Levshin (202-93) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Dmitriy Nezvankin (187-93) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
