Bosnia and Herzegovina Aleksandar Todorovic (206-C/F-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) put on an amazing game in the last round for Gostivar, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, eight rebounds and four assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to edge out Vardar (#11, 4-13) 106-105. Gostivar is placed at 4th position in North Macedonian Prva Liga. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Gostivar will need more victories to improve their 10-8 record. In the team’s last game Todorovic had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Gostivar’s top player in his first season with the team. Aleksandar Todorovic has solid league stats. He is in league’s top in rebounds (8th best: 7.5rpg) and averages impressive 68.5% FGP.
The second best player in last round’s games was 24-year old American Dikembe Dixson (201-F-96) of Vardar. Dixson had a very good evening with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Vardar was edged by the higher-ranked Gostivar (#4, 10-8) 106-105. Vardar is still in a red zone at 11th spot in the standings. 13 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Vardar managed to get this year. Dixson is one of the most experienced players at Vardar and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.7ppg (#9). He also registered 6.5 boards per game.
Third on the list of top players last round was another Gostivar’s star – swingman Ivica Dimcevski (195-G/F-89, agency: BIG). Dimcevski scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was another key player of Gostivar, helping his team with a 106-105 win against the lower-ranked Vardar (#11, 4-13). Gostivar needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 8 lost games. Dimcevski has a very solid season. In 16 games in North Macedonia he scored 11.0ppg. He also has FGP: 69.0% and 3PT: 42.1%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
