We bring you last week’s top performances from French who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.
   #1. This week’s number one is an international power forward Amath M’Baye (205-89, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in Turkey). He led Pinar Karsiyaka to a victory over the closely-ranked Turk Telekom (12-9) 80-69 in the Turkish BSL in Tuesday night’s game.
M’Baye was MVP of the game. He recorded 28 points (!!!) and grabbed 6 rebounds in 37 minutes on the court.
Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir (17-4) is placed second in the BSL.
M’Baye has relatively good stats this year: 14.7ppg, 4.2rpg, 2.1apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 58.0%(69-119), 3FGP: 34.3% and FT: 79.5% in 21 games he played so far.
He has a dual citizenship: Senegalese and French.
M’Baye is currently a member of the French senior national team.
   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international guard Nando De Colo (196-87, currently plays in Turkey). He could not help Fenerbahce (19-0) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite De Colo’s very good performance the league leader Fenerbahce was edged 84-81 at home by the lower-ranked Tofas (#4).
He was the top scorer with 24 points. De Colo also added 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
De Colo has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 17.1ppg, 2.7rpg, 5.4apg, 2FGP: 66.7%(26-39), 3FGP: 27.6% and FT: 91.7%(44-48).
De Colo played for the French national team in 2019.

   #3. The French player who performed third best last week abroad was former international guard Rodrigue Beaubois (190-88, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in Turkey). He contributed to an Anadolu Efes‘ victory against the 13th-ranked Buyukcekmece (7-14) 94-83 in the Turkish BSL on Tuesday night.
Beaubois recorded 12 points and added 6 passes in 25 minutes.
Anadolu Efes Istanbul (3-0) is placed first in the BSL.
So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season.
This year Beaubois has relatively solid stats: 10.8ppg, 2.1rpg, 2.7apg, 2FGP: 59.0%(36-61), 3FGP: 34.9% and FT: 86.7% in 12 games.
He played for the French national team four years ago.

   #4. Center Rudy Gobert (216-92, currently plays in NBA) was the major contributor in an Utah Jazz‘s victory against the Milwaukee Bucks (16-12) 129-115 in the NBA in Friday night’s game.
Gobert recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 4 blocks.
The Utah Jazz has a very solid 23-5 record this season.
It was his team’s eighth consecutive victory in a row.
It’s Gobert’s seventh year with the team.
This season Gobert has very high stats. He averages: 13.9ppg, 13.3rpg, 1.3apg and 2.8bpg.
Gobert used to play for the French national team
back in 2019.
   #5. Former international center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (211-94, currently plays in Turkey) contributed to a 1-point Gaziantep‘s victory against the league outsider OGM Orman (5-16) 82-81 in the Turkish BSL last Thursday.
He recorded 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 26 minutes.
Gaziantep Basketbol (2-1) is placed fourth in the BSL.
It’s Jaiteh’s first season with the team.
Jaiteh has very impressive stats this year: 15.5ppg, 11.2rpg and 2.0apg in 19 games.
He used to play for the French national team
three years ago.

   #6. Power forward Kim Tillie (210-88, college: Utah, currently plays in Japan) contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Shiga L-Stars (13-24) 83-68 in the Japanese B1 League on Sunday night.
Tillie recorded 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
Ryukyu Golden Kings Okinawa (28-9) is placed first in West group.
It was his team’s eighth consecutive victory in a row.
Tillie’s overall stats this season are: 6.1ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.8apg.
He is a former international player as he played for the French senior team four years ago.

   #7. Former international small forward Nicolas Batum (203-88, currently plays in NBA) contributed to a Los Angeles Clippers‘ victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves (7-21) 119-112 in the NBA in Wednesday night’s game.
Batum scored 8 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 35 minutes.
The Los Angeles Clippers have a solid 21-8 record this season.
It was his team’s fourth consecutive victory in a row.
Batum has reliable stats this year: 9.7ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.3apg and 1.4spg in 27 games.
He used to play for the French national team
two years ago.

   #8. Center Jonathan Jeanne (218-97, agency: Slash Sports, currently plays in Denmark) was not able to help Randers (13-7) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Jeanne’s very good performance the third-placed Randers (13-7) was defeated 112-107 on their home court in Randers by the second-ranked Horsens IC in the Pro A group.
He recorded 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks (made all of his five free throws).
This season Jeanne has very high stats. He averages: 15.9ppg, 8.5rpg, 2.5apg, 1.8bpg and 1.4spg.
Jeanne used to play for the French U20 national team
back in 2016.
   #9. Former international forward Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (201-95, also represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in NBA) helped Brooklyn Nets win their game against the Golden State Warriors (15-13) 134-117 in the NBA on Saturday night.
He scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 24 minutes.
The Brooklyn Nets have 18-12 record this season.
It was his team’s fourth consecutive victory in a row.
Luwawu-Cabarrot’s stats this year are: 7.3ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.3apg in 30 games.
He used to play for the French national team
two years ago.

   #10. Point guard Arthur Rozenfeld (181-95, currently plays in Israel) helped Maccabi Ashdod win their game against the 12th-ranked Hasharon (4-8) 86-78 in the Israeli National League (second division) in Tuesday night’s game.
Rozenfeld recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and making 11 passes. He also added 4 rebounds and 4 steals.
Maccabi Ashdod/Be’er Tuvia (8-4) is placed fourth in the National League.
Rozenfeld averaged so far 10.4ppg, 3.3rpg and 7.1apg.
He is a former U20 international player as six years ago he still played for the French national team.

   #11. Former University international guard Frederic Bourdillon (193-91, currently plays in Israel) was not able to secure a victory for Hapoel Holon in their game against Maccabi T-A in the Israeli Winner League.
Bourdillon recorded 6 points in only 14 minutes.
His team was badly defeated by 19 points 100-81.
This year Bourdillon’s overall stats are: 7.7ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.3apg and 1.4spg in 14 games.
He used to play for the French university national team
six years ago.

   #12. Former U20 international center Alexandre Gavrilovic (208-91, college: Towson, currently plays in VTB United League) helped his Russian team N.Novgorod win their game against the closely-ranked Avtodor 86-80 in the VTB United League on Thursday night.
Gavrilovic scored 7 points.
Gavrilovic’s total stats this season are: 6.8ppg and 2.9rpg.
He used to play for the French U20 national team
back in 2011.

   #13. Former U20 international power forward Stephane Gombauld (205-97, another player represented by Slash Sports, currently plays in Serbia) helped Mladost ZE win their game against the 13th-ranked Sloga 97-87 in the Serbian KLS in Monday night’s game.
Gombauld scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 19 minutes.
Gombauld averaged so far 12.7ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.1bpg in 18 games.
He used to play for the French U20 national team
four years ago.

   #14. Former international point guard Theo Maledon (192-1, currently plays in NBA) couldn’t help the Oklahoma City Thunder in their game against the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA.
Maledon scored 7 points and added 3 passes.
His team was defeated 115-104 in the NBA.
Maledon averaged so far 7.5ppg, 2.6rpg and 2.9apg.
He used to play for the French national team
back in 2019.

   #15. Former U18 international forward Sekou Doumbouya (202-0, agency: Wasserman, currently plays in NBA) couldn’t help the Detroit Pistons in their game against the Indiana Pacers in the NBA.
Doumbouya scored 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 16 minutes.
His team were badly defeated by 16 points 111-95 in the NBA.
This year Doumbouya’s total stats are: 4.1ppg and 2.5rpg in 24 games.
He used to play for the French U18 national team
five years ago.

The list of other players, who all have French passport but never been selected to any of French national teams:

   #1. Pedro Mendonca (196-SF-95, currently plays in Brazil) was the major contributor in a Caxias do Sul‘s surprising victory against the third-ranked Pinheiros (1-2) 76-73 in the Brazilian NBB in Saturday night’s game.
Mendonca recorded 15 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks (made all of his eight free throws).
KTO/Caxias do Sul BasqueteTriches (5-16) is placed second from the bottom (#15) in the NBB.
Mendonca has averaged so far 7.5ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.9apg.
He has a dual citizenship: French and Brazilian.
Despite Mendonca’s French passport, he previously played for the Brazilian U16 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the French team.

   #2. Mamady Djikine (201-F, currently plays in NCAA2) led Saint Mary’s University, Texas to a 3-point victory against the St. Edward’s University (2-3) 76-73 in the NCAA2 last Friday.
Djikine had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks in 32 minutes.
The Saint Mary’s University, Texas have 2-2 record this season.
The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA2.
Djikine averaged so far 14.3ppg, 8.3rpg and 1.5bpg in four games he played so far.

   #3. Jordan Semple (201-F-92, college: Chico St., currently plays in Finland) could not help Kataja (4-3) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance Kataja was edged 100-99 at home by the league outsider Ura Basket (#12).
Semple recorded 15 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Semple averaged so far 12.3ppg, 7.3rpg, 2.1apg, 1.2bpg and 1.3spg.
He is a naturalized American.
Strangely Semple has never played in France.

   #4. Igor Mintogo Ebang (192-G/F-99, currently plays in Belgium) was not able to help Belfius Mons-Hainaut in their game against Oostende (8-1) in the Belgian Euromillions League.
He recorded 5 points in 14 minutes.
Belfius Mons-Hainaut was crushed 88-63 on the road by the leading Oostende in the Group B.
Mintogo Ebang has averaged so far 4.9ppg and 1.3rpg in seven games.

   #5. Nicolas Elame (191-G-99, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to secure a victory for the UT Arlington (7-7) in their last game on Thursday. Despite his very good performance the UT Arlington was defeated 63-56 in San Marcos by the Texas State University at.
Elame scored 17 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists.
There are only four games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
Elame has averaged so far 7.2ppg, 4.2rpg and 2.8apg.
He is another player who holds two passports: French and Cameroonian.

   #6. Experienced Elishay Kadir (202-PF-87, agency: Avi Zilberman, currently plays in Israel) managed to help Bnei Hertzeliya to win against the fifth-ranked H.Haifa 91-79 in the Israeli Winner League on Sunday night.
Kadir recorded 5 points.
Kadir has averaged so far 4.7ppg, 3.4rpg and 1.6apg.
He has both French and Israeli nationalities.

   #7. Vadim Clanet (203-F-99, currently plays in NCAA2) led Southeastern Oklahoma State University to a victory against the Northwestern Oklahoma State University 72-65 in the NCAA2 in Thursday night’s game.
Clanet recorded 17 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 33 minutes.
Clanet averaged so far 12.3ppg and 4.3rpg in four games.

   #8. Manuel Barnes (198-F-92, college: Baker, currently plays in Finland) couldn’t help Kristika Turku (11-3) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Kristika Turku (#3) was crushed 124-81 in Helsinki by the lower-ranked ToPo Juniorit (#4) in the Division A.
Barnes was the top scorer with 25 points. He also added 7 rebounds.
Barnes has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 17.3ppg, 7.2rpg, 2.6apg and 1.6spg.

   #9. Tim Troussel (203-PF-95, college: Newman, currently plays in Holland) couldn’t help Hague (1-6) in their last game. Despite Troussel’s good performance Hague was crushed 90-64 on the opponent’s court by the leading Leiden.
He scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 29 minutes.
Troussel averaged so far 10.7ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.7apg and 2.1spg in seven games.
He also holds two passports: Mali and French.

   #10. Sehill Mouliom (203-F-97, college: Malone, currently plays in United Kingdom) contributed to a 2-point Cheshire Phoenix‘s victory against the closely-ranked Bristol Acadamy Flyers 71-69 in the British BBL in Friday night’s game.
Mouliom recorded 6 points and had 4 steals in 33 minutes.
Mouliom has averaged so far 6.8ppg and 3.4rpg in 12 games.
