24-year old power forward Shaun Willett (193-PF-96) had an amazing evening in the last round for Heidelberg and receives a Interperformances ProA Player of the Week award for round 21.
He had the game-high 24 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Heidelberg in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Tuebingen (#12, 6-11) 115-100. Heidelberg is placed at 3rd position in German ProA. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Heidelberg will need more victories to improve their 10-4 record. Willett just recently signed at Heidelberg, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Queens University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Willett is in league’s top in points (4th best: 12.8ppg) and averages solid 1.2bpg and 57.1% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Jacob Knauf (210-PF-97) of Art.Dragons. He is a forward in his first season at Art.Dragons. In the last game Knauf recorded impressive 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Art.Dragons was edged by the lower-ranked Ehingen (#13, 5-12) 89-88. This loss caused Art.Dragons to drop to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 10-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Knauf is a newcomer at Art.Dragons and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.
Third place about best performers goes to guard De’Quan Abrom (188-SG-96) of Ehingen (#13). Abrom scored 23 points. He was a key player of Ehingen, leading his team to a 89-88 win against the higher-ranked Art.Dragons (#5, 10-7). Ehingen can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 5-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Abrom has a very solid season. In 16 games in Germany he scored 13.8ppg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
