Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Poles who are currently playing abroad.
   #1. This week’s number one is an international forward Mateusz Ponitka (198-93, currently plays in VTB United League). He could not help Zenit (15-2) in their last game. Despite Ponitka’s very good performance the league leader Zenit was edged 59-58 on the road by the second-ranked Unics.
He was the top scorer with 17 points. Ponitka also added 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 28 minutes on the court.
This year Ponitka averages: 8.8ppg, 3.7rpg, 2.4apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 66.7%(28-42) and FT: 72.1% in 14 games he played so far.
He is currently a member of the Polish senior national team.
   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international guard David Logan (184-82, college: Indianapolis, currently plays in Italy). Logan was not able to help Treviso (3-3) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Treviso was badly defeated 108-90 at home by the second-ranked Brindisi.
Logan was the top scorer with 27 points. He also added 3 assists in 31 minutes.
Logan has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 20.1ppg, 2.6rpg, 3.2apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 55.8%(72-129), 3FGP: 40.6% and FT: 75.7% in 18 games.
Logan is a naturalized American.
He played for the Polish national team in 2009.
Logan used to play for WTK Anwil Wloclawek in Polish league.

   #3. The Polish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international swingman Michal Michalak (196-93, currently plays in Germany). He was not able to secure a victory for MBC (2-1) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Michalak’s very good performance MBC was defeated 103-97 on their home court in Weissenfels by the second-ranked Telekom Baskets.
He was the top scorer with 26 points. Michalak also added 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
It’s Michalak’s first season with the team.
This year he has very high stats. Michalak averages: 20.7ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.9apg, 2FGP: 50.6%, 3FGP: 44.2% and FT: 82.9%.
He is also a member of the Polish senior national team.
   #4. Shooting guard A.J. Slaughter (191-87, agency: BeoBasket, college: WKU, currently plays in Spain) led Gran Canaria to a victory against the closely-ranked La ICL Manresa (10-12) 83-77 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Saturday.
Slaughter scored 12 points in 28 minutes.
Herbalife Gran Canariais placed eighth in the Liga Endesa.
Slaughter has relatively good stats this year: 12.1ppg, 2.3rpg, 3.1apg and 1.2spg in 11 games.
He is a naturalized American.
Slaughter is also Polish national team player.
Strangely he has never played in Poland.

   #5. Former international forward Mathieu Wojciechowski (200-92, currently plays in France) couldn’t help Le Portel (5-5) in their last game on Friday. Despite Wojciechowski’s good performance Le Portel was defeated 86-73 on their home court in Le Portel by the second-ranked Levallois.
He recorded 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
Wojciechowski’s overall stats this season are: 6.6ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.4apg.
He has a dual citizenship: Polish and French.
Wojciechowski used to play for the Polish national team
two years ago.

   #6. Guard Marcel Ponitka (194-97, currently plays in VTB United League) was the major contributor in Parma‘s victory against one of league’s weakest teams Kalev/Cramo (3-11) 80-72 in the VTB United League last Tuesday.
Ponitka scored 10 points and added 5 passes.
Parma Basket Perm (7-8) is placed eighth in the VTB United League.
Ponitka’s overall stats this season are: 8.0ppg, 1.7rpg and 3.0apg.
He is a former international player as he played for the Polish senior team three years ago.

   #7. International small forward Jaroslaw Zyskowski (203-92, currently plays in Spain) couldn’t help Bilbao (4-18) in their last game. Despite Zyskowski’s good performance the bottom-ranked Bilbao was badly defeated 90-73 on their home court in Bilbao by the second-ranked FC Barcelona.
He was the second best scorer with 13 points in 23 minutes.
It was Bilbao’s fifth consecutive loss in a row.
This year Zyskowski’s overall stats are: 9.0ppg and 2.3rpg in 20 games.
He is also Polish national team player.

   #8. Forward Tomasz Gielo (205-93, college: Ole Miss, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked Blusens Monbus (7-12) 90-71 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Tuesday night.
Gielo scored 9 points.
MoraBanc Andorra (9-11) is placed tenth in the Liga Endesa.
Gielo’s total stats this season are: 7.6ppg and 3.7rpg.
He plays currently for the Polish national team.

   #9. Former international forward Adam Waczynski (199-89, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Unicaja Malaga to win against the 15th-ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (6-15) 85-68 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday.
Waczynski scored 5 points.
Unicaja Malaga (10-2) is placed fourth in the Liga Endesa.
It was his team’s tenth consecutive victory in a row.
Waczynski is one of the most experienced players in a team as it’s his fifth year in Unicaja Malaga’s roster.
His total stats this season are: 8.5ppg and 1.9rpg.
Waczynski used to play for the Polish national team
two years ago.

   #10. Swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92, currently plays in Italy) is a teammate of previously mentioned David Logan and both played together in the last Italian Serie A game.
Sokolowski couldn’t help Treviso (3-3) in their game against Brindisi (4-2).
He recorded 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 33 minutes.
Treviso was badly defeated 108-90 on their home court in Treviso by the second-ranked Brindisi.
This year Sokolowski has relatively solid stats: 11.8ppg, 4.5rpg and 2.4apg in 14 games.
He is an international player who is currently on the senior Polish National Team roster.

   #11. International center Aleksander Balcerowski (217-0, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned A.J. Slaughter and both played together in the last Spanish Liga Endesa game.
Balcerowski contributed to a Gran Canaria‘s victory against the closely-ranked La ICL Manresa 83-77.
He scored only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
Balcerowski’s total stats this season are: 4.8ppg and 2.5rpg.
He plays currently for the Polish national team.

   #12. U18 international small forward Jeremy Sochan (204-3, currently plays in Germany) helped OrangeAcademy win their game against the 11th-ranked Speyer 80-70 in the German ProB (third division) on Wednesday night.
Sochan scored 10 points and added 3 passes.

   #13. Former U16 international swingman Przemyslaw Golek (196-0, currently plays in NCAA2) helped Fairmont State University win their game against the Frostburg State University crushing them 99-75 in the NCAA2 in Wednesday night’s game.
Golek scored 10 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 32 minutes.
Golek has reliable stats this year: 12.0ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.3apg in four games.
He used to play for the Polish U16 national team
five years ago.

   #14. Former international forward Maciej Bender (211-97, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped Mercer win their game against the Samford University 77-70 in the NCAA last Wednesday.
Bender scored 6 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
Bender averaged so far 10.1ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.4bpg.
He used to play for the Polish national team
back in 2016.

The list of other players, who all have Polish passport but never been selected to any of Polish national teams:

   #1. Yovel Zoosman (200-G/F-98, currently plays in Israel) led Maccabi T-A to a victory over the ninth-ranked M.Rishon (5-7) crushing them 105-77 in the Israeli Winner League last Sunday.
Zoosman was MVP of the game. He scored 17 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists.
Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv (10-2) is placed first in the Winner League.
It was his team’s third consecutive victory in a row.
It’s Zoosman’s sixth season with the team.
Zoosman’s overall stats this year are: 7.4ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.9apg and 1.1spg.
He has a dual citizenship: Polish and Israeli.

   #2. Santiago Vaulet (194-SG-98, currently plays in Argentina) was the major contributor in Penarol‘s victory against the 16th-ranked La Union (4-0) 90-76 in the Argentinian La Liga in Friday night’s game.
He scored 19 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 27 minutes.
Penarol Mar del Plata (16-0) is placed fourth in South group.
So far his team won all sixteen games in the Regular Season.
They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
This year Vaulet’s overall stats are: 7.8ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.1apg in 26 games he played so far.
He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Polish.
Despite Vaulet’s Polish nationality, he previously played for the Argentinian U21 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Polish team.

   #3. Juan Pablo Vaulet (198-SF-96, currently plays in Spain) could not help La ICL Manresa (10-12) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Vaulet’s good performance La ICL Manresa was defeated 83-77 on the road by the lower-ranked Gran Canaria (#11).
He scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
Vaulet’s total stats this season are: 8.5ppg and 4.2rpg.
He has both Polish and Argentinian nationalities.

   #4. Nimrod Tishman (197-PG-91, agency: Avi Zilberman, currently plays in Israel) faced previously mentioned Yovel Zoosman in the Israeli Winner League last game.
Tishman was not able to help M.Rishon (5-7) in their last game. Despite his good performance M.Rishon was crushed 105-77 in Tel-Aviv by the leading Maccabi T-A.
Tishman scored 12 points and added 3 passes in 26 minutes.
This year Tishman’s total stats are: 3.6ppg, 1.4rpg and 2.4apg in nine games.
He also holds two passports: Polish and Israeli.
Despite Tishman’s Polish nationality, he previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and probably cannot be called to the Polish team.

   #5. Experienced Oded Brandwein (179-PG-88, currently plays in Israel) managed to help Hapoel Holon in a victory against the closely-ranked Hapoel Eilat (9-5) 83-77 in the Israeli Winner League in Saturday night’s game.
Brandwein scored only 4 points in 11 minutes.
Hapoel Holon (8-5) is placed sixth in the Winner League.
This year Brandwein’s total stats are: 6.1ppg and 2.0apg in seven games.
He has dual citizenship: Polish and Israeli.

   #6. David Brembly (197-G/F-93, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for MBC in their game against Telekom Baskets in the German BBL.
Brembly recorded 7 points in 19 minutes.
His team lost 97-103.
This year Brembly’s total stats are: 7.6ppg and 2.1rpg in 16 games.
He holds both Polish and German passports.
Despite Brembly’s Polish nationality, he previously played for the German university national team.

   #7. Julian Jasinski (201-C/F-96, currently plays in Germany) contributed to SparkassenStars‘ victory against the seventh-ranked Schwelm 57-51 in the German ProB (third division) on Wednesday night.
