Haaland Sancho Bellerin and Lamptey feature in New of the day

Tuchel made Haaland and Sancho promise, Defender confirms Man United offer and Lamptey to make Arsenal move in news of the day!

Monaco centre-back Benoit Badiashile has confirmed that he was the subject of a transfer approach from Manchester United last summer.

United were tipped to bolster their defensive ranks after finishing 33 points behind Premier League champions Liverpool last season, amid suggestions that club captain Harry Maguire needed a pacey partner next to him instead of Victor Lindelof.

Badiashile fit the bill perfectly, with it reported that the Red Devils were willing to spend around £22 million ($31m) for his services, but a final deal never came to fruition, as the club could not get a transfer deal done.

But now the defender has come out and confirmed that Manchester United did make an offer to get a transfer deal done, but he has revealed just why he decided to reject a move to Old Trafford.

Badiashile told RMC Sport: “It was the right choice, first off is that I have not enjoyed good seasons since I have been at Monaco.

“We played to stay up and so now I am really experiencing being at the top of the table and I think that continuing with the club that trained me was the right decision and this is being proved by the season that we are having.”

Asked if he regrets rejecting United, the Frenchman responded: “No, not at all.”

Reports have claimed that Arsenal could make a move for Tariq Lamptey amid speculation that Hector Bellerin wants to leave.

Bellerin has been that has been at Arsenal for many seasons now and is one player that fans have both become frustrated with and happy to see back in the squad on a weekly basis playing the game he loves.

He was once electric, sharp, fast. And he was professional, dedicated, familiar and one of their own. He looked destined to be a top player, if not world-class, and that right-Back slot has been his to lose for many seasons now.

However, he is coming towards the back-end of his top-level playing days in the Premier League, and reports have now suggested that he is keen to leave the club and make a transfer move to PSG, and the Football.London website have claimed that Arsenal may now make a move for Lamptey

The 20-year-old has been a revelation on the south coast this season having left Chelsea for first-team football, and is easily considered to be one of the best attacking defenders in the Premier League.

Brighton are being smart by handing him a new contract, in hope that they can convince the right-back that he should stay at the club, but also because clubs will have to pay more in the future to get a deal done.

He has that drive, pace, speed and quality that once made Bellerin one of the very best in the business and he is still young enough to be seen as a great long-term investment.

Look, if the reports are true and Bellerin is all set to leave the club, then we are pretty sure that fans would love to see Lamptey signed as his immediate replacement in the summer.

Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia has apparently promised Thomas Tuchel that he will get the same treatment at the end of the season.

Tuchel was brought to the club too late in the January transfer window to sign players and put his own stamp on the side, which means that he will have to wait until the end of the season to get the players that he wants and needs.

The likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and Edouard Mendy all arrived for substantial fees ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, but Frank Lampard was unable to get the best out of his players, and he was ultimately sacked by the Blues board.

Now, According to the Sunday World, Granovskaia is willing to shell out £172million for Borussia Dortmund duo Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland.

Haaland and Sancho are regarded as two of the most exciting players in world football, and they are heavily tipped to pack their bags and leave the German outfit during the summer transfer window.

Chelsea have been linked with both players for some time now, but have not been able to get deals done, as Dortmund have had no desire to let the players leave, but that could change in the summer.

It is claimed that both players are ready to leave Dortmund in the transfer window and will cash in on their star duo, for the right amount of money.

If the reports are true and Tuchel will get some serious money to splash on new players, how exciting would the attack be if the club managed to secure some transfer deals for the talents.

And it would be brilliant to see them both in the Premier League.
