25-year old guard Justin Tuckson (185-G-96) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Trelleborg and receives a Hoops Agents Superettan Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had the game-high 37 points adding nine rebounds and six assists for Trelleborg as his team was edged out by Ockelbo (#7, 1-2) 99-96. Trelleborg moved-up to the 5th position in Swedish Superettan. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost that single game earlier this season. Trelleborg will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 2-1 record. In the team’s last game Tuckson had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Trelleborg, through which he has constantly improved. Clayton College & State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Tuckson is league’s best scorer averaging so far 24.0ppg. Tuckson is in league’s top in and averages solid 63.9% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Jan Tratnik (190-SG-89) of top-ranked Kalmar. He is Slovenian guard in his 4th season at Kalmar. In the last game Tratnik recorded impressive double-double of 29 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Kalmar to another comfortable win outscoring Helsingborg (0-3) 104-64. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Tratnik is one of the most experienced players at Kalmar and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.8ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 10.5rpg and 5.5apg.
Third place about best performers goes to center Martynas Kuksta (203-C-89) of Team4Q (#8). Kuksta scored 21 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Team4Q, leading his team to a 95-76 easy win against AIK Basket (#10, 0-2). The chances of Team4Q not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victory. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Kuksta could try to bring Team4Q’s a little bit higher in the standings. Kuksta has individually a great season in Sweden. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in rebounds with 10.0rpg (5th best).
