22-year old Vladislav Frolov (202-C/F-98) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league’s best team KRYVBAS (Kryvyi Rih) and receives a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league’s bottom-ranked team Invasport (#8, 0-10) with 34-point margin 79-45. It allowed Krivbas to consolidate first place in the Ukrainian Higher League. Krivbas has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 11-1. In the team’s last game Frolov had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Krivbas, through which he has constantly improved. Frolov has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in rebounds (6th best: 8.2rpg) and averages solid 69.7% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Hlib Batalskyi (195-F-03) of Dnipro-2. He is a forward in his first season at Dnipro-2. In the last game Batalskyi recorded impressive 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he led Dnipro-2 to another comfortable win outscoring Novomoskovsk (#9, 0-10) 125-43. Dnipro-2’s 5th position in Group 1 has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 6-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Batalskyi is a newcomer at Dnipro-2 and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.
Third place about best performers goes to another Dnipro-2’s star – guard Yevhenii Sorochan (197-SG). Sorochan showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, six rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was another key player of Dnipro-2, helping his team with a 125-43 easy win against Novomoskovsk (#9, 0-10). Dnipro-2 needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group 1. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 6 lost games. Sorochan has a great season in Ukraine. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 17.9ppg (9th best). He also has FGP: 64.9% and 3PT: 47.4%.
