25-year old forward Lewis Sullivan (201-F-95, agency: BIG) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Khimik and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 38.
He had a double-double of 23 points and 18 rebounds, while his team beat Ternopil-TNEU (#3, 24-14) 97-83. Khimik maintains the 7th position in Ukrainian league. Khimik is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 19-17 record. In the team’s last game Sullivan had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. It’s his second year at Khimik and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. University of Alabama at Birmingham graduate has very impressive stats this year. Sullivan is in league’s top in points (8th best: 16.3ppg) and averages solid 53.4% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Nathan Adrian (206-F-95, agency: Inception Sports) of Mykolaiv. He is American forward in his first season at Mykolaiv. In the last game Adrian recorded impressive 33 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Mykolaiv lost that game 68-80 to the higher-ranked Kyiv Basket (#1, 28-7). Mykolaiv are still at the very bottom. 31 lost games are too many comparing to just six victories Mykolaiv managed to get this year. Adrian is a newcomer at Mykolaiv and quickly became one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.8ppg (#2). He also registered 7.8 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Avery Ugba (203-F-94, agency: BIG) of Ternopil-TNEU (#3). Ugba scored 18 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Ugba’s great performance Ternopil-TNEU lost 83-97 to the lower-ranked Khimik (#7, 19-17). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Ugba has a great season in Ukraine. After 38 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in rebounds with 9.3rpg (2nd best).
