USK Praha (NBL) landed experienced 37-year old former Czech-American international swingman Blake Schilb (201cm-100kg-83, college: Loyola, IL). He has played for the last two years at Chalons-Reims in French Jeep ELITE ProA, but left the team in Apr.’20. In 24 games he averaged 11.1ppg, 4.1rpg and 3.8apg last season.
Schilb has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
He also represented Czech Republic at the European Championships six years ago. But his stats at that event were not that impressive as he did not score anything.
Schilb is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Serbia (Crvena Zvezda), Spain (Real Betis), Turkey (Galatasaray) and France (Levallois and Chalon/Saor).
Among many awards his team was regular season runner-up in French ProA U21 in 2018. Schilb received also Eurobasket.com All-French ProA Honorable Mention award in 2010, 2015 and 2019.
Schilb is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at USK Praha.
Schilb attended Loyola University of Chicago until 2007 and it will be his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
